The Challenge
The main challenge was to create a high-end e-commerce furniture site for price-conscious customers who love getting style ideas through scrapbooking and Pinterest.
User Persona
Katherine is a mother intending to update the furniture of her 4 bedroom family home. She loves to browse style guides online and uses Pinterest to gather her design ideas.

One of the key observations from the user persona is that the user loves to browse style guides and Pinterest for design ideas. To design for these users, I made Inspiration ideas easily accessible on each page.
Home page: General inspiration for different rooms

How can I mimic the Pinterest idea of scrolling pages for style inspiration?
The Take Away
Throughout this process, I aimed to create a site and app that made browsing and finding inspiration easy for customers. For customers who are ordering for home delivery, seeing items first-hand in the store for inspiration is not a guarantee. As a solution, I created style guide browsing pages for each category page (i.e. Living Room, Kitchen, Bedroom), each sub-category page (i.e. Seating Collections, Coffee Table Collections, Sofas, etc.), and each product page (i.e. 3-Seater Sofa). The goal was to create a clean, high-end looking site for those looking for style while still being price-conscious.
